She was employed at Hingham Trust Company and soon after she met her husband, Robert E. She graduated from Hingham High School, class of 1948 and attended the American Institute of Banking. She was born in Cohasset to the late John and Caterina Zona and raised in Hingham. Ruffini (Kaye), 92, of Hingham, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving children on Friday, May 13, 2022. Paul’s Parish, 147 North Street, Hingham, MA 02043. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kaye may be made to the Town of Hingham Veteran’s Benefit Fund, 210 Central Street, Hingham, MA 02043 or to St. Paul’s Parish on Thursday, at 10 am, followed by interment at St. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday, from 4-7 pm at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond Street, Hingham, MA. Also survived by her 13 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her 6 children and their spouses Donna Zamagni and her husband, Donald, of Weymouth, MA, Sheela Calhoun of Hingham, MA, Robert Ruffini, Jr of Hingham, MA, Jeannette Anderson and her husband, Paul, of Deering, NH, Joseph Ruffini and his wife, Robin, of West Bridgewater, MA, and Nancy Phillips and her husband, Jim, of Merrimack, NH. Zona, of Hyannis, MA and predeceased by her brother, Joseph G. She is survived by her brother, Angelo A. She stayed in touch with everyone via phone, text and video calling. She had a large extended family and was very active in her children’s, grandchildren’s, and great-grandchildren’s lives, following them on Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. She was employed at Foster Elementary School in Hingham and retired at the age of 77.
